Lands commission pushes for drilling moratorium

State officials concerned over bill to lift offshore ban on oil and gas leasing

The California State Lands Commission on Thursday urged Congress and President Bush to maintain an oil and gas drilling moratorium established more than 20 years ago in federal waters along the Santa Barbara County and California coast.
