Crash on 101 left 5-year-old seriously injured - Mom was tending to son in back seat when her minivan collided with big rig

A 5-year-old Santa Maria boy was fighting for his life at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on Saturday after being ejected from a minivan a day earlier during a rollover crash involving a big rig towing a trailer on Highway 101 northbound just south of the Refugio State Beach Road off-ramp.
