Grant inspires more 'saves' at shelters

The Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter on Foster Road in Santa Maria is among 95 across the country and in the Virgin Islands in the running for a $100,000 challenge grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
