Vote delays Chick-fil-A project : Board unanimously approves delay amid controversy over chain founder's remarks

The national controversy over Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy's opposition to gay marriage reached Santa Barbara on Monday as five members of the city Architectural Board of Review abstained from approving a revised landscaping plan for the fast-food chain's proposed upper State Street location.
