Jury selection starts in child-scalding case

A roomful of prospective jurors in the case of a Santa Maria woman accused of child abuse were asked Wednesday to consider their beliefs on everything from the definition of torture to whether they could impartially view potentially "graphic and gruesome" photographs involving a toddler's injuries.
