Frank & Ida Lick
Frank and Ida (Dal Vecchio, a native Santa Barbarian) Lick celebrated 50 years of marital bliss. Ida out did herself with a party at the University Club for about 85 guests. There was a scrumptious menu, great entertainment including Conrad Kano's humorous keyboard antics, more than adequate adult beverages, a truly fantastic mix of family, including great grandchildren, and friends from all around the country. The decorations included flower arrangements, corsages, table place gifts and the males of Ida's family all gussied up in tuxedos with pink comberbums and bow ties. Son Frank(ie) and wife Jennifer put on a humorous slide show with scenes from a half century ago. Dance music was provided late into the night by the "Upper Hand".
Even Masa Oya, their Japanese foster son 35 years ago as a student, and now an executive vice president of Mitsubishi Electric living in Pittsburg, U.S.A., flew out here for the celebrations. All in the midst of moving from their Montecito home of 40 years to Glendessary Lane.
