Arleen passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 17, 2013. She was born here in Santa Barbara to Alfred and Lucille Zapata on May 3, 1949. The youngest child and only girl, she was adored by her family. Arleen attended school locally and went on to work for Raytheon, where she worked for many years.
Always a hard worker and of course the greatest of cooks, Arleen was all about her family, raising two children, Rudy and Jessica Lino, by herself until meeting her husband Keith. She was also the best "MEMA" ever to Megan, Michael, Xavier and Angel. Arleen loved family gatherings and also loved spending her time up at their house at the lake with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her husband, Keith; son, Rudy (Millie) Lino; grandchildren Megan, Michael and great grandson Angel; daughter, Jessica Lino and grandson Xavier Bucifal; brothers, Bob (Kris), Andrew, Sonny (Margo) Zapata and many nieces and nephews and their families along with countless friends and many others. Even though not here, Arleen will be forever in our hearts.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 30, 11:00 am at the Welch-Ryce-Haider Chapel on Ward Drive in Goleta.
Arrangements entrusted to Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Chapel.
