GINNETTI III, John Joseph Jay
December 3, 2013 5:24 AM
Was born on April 29, 1961 in Marlborough Massachusetts.
The only child to John (Jack) and Maryann Ginnetti, he was a standout graduate at Marlborough High school and took his Bachelors of Art degree at Framingham State College in Psychology. Shortly after graduating Jay moved west and even with his Massachusetts accent quickly found his voice as a lifelong resident settling in Santa Barbara and later Ventura. A highly skilled downhill skier, watching Jay ski was said to be poetic. His bigger than life love for The Boston Red Sox and The New England Patriots was matched only by his big heart and big laugh. He was a very special, caring man to everyone lucky enough to know him.
Jay married Traci Thompson his beloved lifelong partner, they often traveled back east to visit family and friends and later bought a home in Ventura. Like everything else Jay did in this world he earned his way on his own terms. Starting in the warehouse at Buena Tool Co. and worked his way up to top Sales Manager in his 29 year career there. He always seemed to be "on the go "to the next job site or working the cell phone to get his clients the best deal. He always treated his customers like he treated his friends and family with honesty and respect.
Jay died suddenly on Monday, November 18, 2013. He is survived by his father Jack, wife Traci, his aunts and uncles, Rick and Janet Ginnetti and Dianne and Arthur Moore, Mother in law Darleen Thompson and multiple cousins.
There will be a gathering for Jay at Ledbetter Beach on Saturday December 7, 2013 at 11:00 am with a small reception to follow. Everyone who knew and loved Jay is warmly invited.
