EDC plans blue whale lawsuit

Santa Barbara-based Environmental Defense Center gave 60-day notice today of its intent to sue the National Marine Fisheries Service under the Endangered Species Act for allegedly failing to implement provisions of the Blue Whale Recovery Plan.
