Re: the recent letter "Hospital history has a familiar ring," the writer's story began with a dream and drew me in, but then it became a sardonic soliloquy.
I am guessing he thinks housing for Cottage Hospital staff is far superior to the neighborhood than a hospital, and he is right. However, that is not the issue.

This year has been one of the most competitive college application periods in history. College admission counselors were swamped with an extraordinarily large number of freshman applicants for the 2008-09 school year.
With this in mind, prospective college students can help each other by accepting an admission offer to only one school. Sometimes students will accept offers at two or more schools, delaying their final decision. By doing this, they deny space to other hopeful applicants. More»
