There are 50 unsolved homicides in Santa Barbara County, including 22 in the city. But detectives hope advances in forensic technology will link killers still walking the streets to evidence once considered useless. The News-Press highlights four of these cold cases in a three-part series by crime reporter Dawn Hobbs in the hope that someone in the community holds the missing clues that can finally put those victims to rest.
