Public Service Advertising Program

Our Mission:
The News-Press donates more than $300,000 in newspaper advertising space annually to local nonprofit groups promoting fundraising events and public services that enhance our community.

Overview:
The program offers qualified nonprofit organizations the opportunity to run an ad in the News-Press for up to four weeks. Ads run on space available basis and the News-Press does not guarantee the frequency, date or location of the ad placement.

General Guidelines:
1. Applications must be received a minimum of four weeks before the requested start date.

2. Ads will only be accepted from charitable, nonprofit organizations. Only one public service ad is available per calendar year, per organization.

3. The News-Press has the right to reject any ad. Unacceptable content includes (but is not limited to) "thank you" ads, fundraisers at commercial establishments where a portion of the charge is contributed to the charity, and ads of a political nature. Advertisements must be nondenominational in character, promote or further the well being of the entire community and be open to the general public.

4. Upon approval, your organization will be required to provide us with a camera-ready ad in electronic form. Ads must be correctly sized and submitted on a Macintosh disk following specific guidelines established by the News-Press. The News-Press will not be responsible for late, incomplete or incorrect submissions.
