Family Camp promises to be a week of adventure and fun for the whole family. Spend your days hiking, swimming, canoeing, rafting, horseback riding, rock climbing or repelling. Kids Care for Clean Air 2005 Calendar Contest (Sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District)

Water Bugs! Summer Camp (Sponsored by
the Community Environmental Council)

Explore the natural wonders found in and around the Arroyo Burro creek and nearby beach. Activities include hikes, experiments, water testing, crafts, games and puppet shows centered around creek and ocean environments and what we can do to keep them healthy. Age groups: kindergarten through second grade and grades 3 - 6. Supervisor/child ratio 1:9. Fees are $90.00 and $135.00. Session I: July 12 - 16, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for K-2nd grade - $90. Session II: July 19 - 23, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for 3rd-6th grade - $135.

Experiential learning in the wilderness, building community and family relationships, nurturing a child's curiosity and natural gifts through mentoring, discovery, and play; delving deeper into survival and "old way" skills, scouting, tracking, ecology and living in harmony with the Santa Barbara wilderness. Ages: camps, 5 - 12; expedition, 13 - 18. Supervisor/child ratio 1:4. $295 - $395, scholarships available. Young Eagles Day Camps: June 21 - July 3, and July 12 - July 24. Advanced Skills Camps (a Heron Wings Program): August 2 - 6 and August 9 - 13. Teen Expedition (a Heron Wings Program): August 19 - 17. Both Young Eagles and Advanced Skills Camps take place throughout the Santa Barbara wilderness. The Teen Expedition will take place on the Lost Coast in Northern California.
