Daniel Gallardo, known to many around the world as Tiki Diablo, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on June 14, 1971, in Santa Barbara, California, Daniel was the beloved youngest child of Jose and Hortencia Gallardo.
Daniel was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, artist, mentor, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Bozorgmehr Gallardo, his father, Jose Gallardo; his sisters, Beatriz and Sandra Gallardo; his niece, Daniella Espindola; and his nephews Joel and Max Fernandez, aside from many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Hortencia Gallardo.
To know Daniel was to experience kindness in its purest form. He was loving, selfless, and courageous—a man who led with his heart and lifted others with his generosity. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, offering guidance, encouragement and unwavering support.
A gifted artist and master wood carver, Daniel, along with his wife Stephanie, built a name and legacy through their business, Tiki Diablo. His work is recognized and celebrated worldwide, each piece reflecting his bold creativity, cultural reverence, and unmistakable style. He was a visionary who took risks, followed his passion fearlessly, and turned his dreams into reality. Along the way, he became a mentor to many aspiring artists, inspiring others to believe in their own path and potential.
Beyond his artistry, Daniel was the life of every gathering. He had a great sense of humor, and a genuine smile that could light up any room. Whether he was sharing stories, cracking jokes, or showing off his impressive dance skills, he brought joy wherever he went. His presence was magnetic, his spirit unforgettable.
Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Danny’s legacy lives on—in the intricate beauty of his artwork, and in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always celebrated.
His spirit remains carved not only in wood, but in the hearts of all who love him.
