- By the time you read this it is very likely (or that we will be very close) that we passed 10,000 followers on Instagram. We’re proud of this as it shows we are not only connecting with our audience at newspress.com and on social media. We spent a lot of time focused on our website, but also on our social media platforms. We effectively relaunched in January, and started to focus on social media in February.
Our entire team is involved with our social media posts. We tell the community’s story through photos and video, and we also tell our story—the story of our dynamic newsroom—as much as possible. Our newsroom is fun and enthusiastic, and I believe it shows on our social media platforms. If you missed Aston Smith and Julianna Lozada‘s report on temperatures and the lack of air conditioning in Santa Barbara and Goleta schools, watch the compelling video here.
All of our analytics, from website views and time on site to newsletter subscriptions and social media views continue to grow every day. We are grateful that you have embraced us. Our community needs more journalists, and we are happy to be a home for the current and future generation of journalism.
