News-Press & Cal Matters election talk

The Santa Barbara News-Press and CalMatters enjoyed a lively and meaningful discussion with community members Wednesday about the statewide items on the Nov. 3 election.
Neil Chase, CEO of CalMatters, explained several of the statewide propositions, noting the pros and the cons, as well as how to research objective information on the various propositions.
Will Belfiore, general manager of the News-Press, talked about the News-Press’ online voter guide, where you can find more than 100 election stories, simply by inputting your address. Chase called the News-Press’ Voter Guide a model and “the best one I have seen,” among the various community newspaper sites he has seen.
The event was held at the Louise Lowry Davis Center in Santa Barbara.
