It’s a big week at Santa Barbara City Hall. The City Council is set to end its Flock contract, in the face of public pressure. The cameras nationwide have been under scrutiny amid privacy violations and concerns that ICE or other agencies could have access to the license plate reader technology.

The city is looking to shift to a supposedly less intrusive technology, Verkada’s License Plate Reader platform. Expect a big crowd at City Hall.
