A vegetation fire broke out on the 1600 block of Mission Drive in Solvang at approximately 10:46 a.m. Wednesday.

The fire has spread to approximately two to three acres with a moderate rate of spread as of 11:02 a.m., according to Incident Command.

As of 12:10 p.m., the fire has been reduced to 1.59 acres.

Santa Barbara County Fire Department crews are currently on site and they encourage the public to avoid the area.
