The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly injecting a 17-year-old girl with methamphetamine and then sexually assaulting her.
Detectives on June 30 arrested Jeffrey Kyle Snyder as he exited a ride share vehicle on the 2500 block of Mesa School Road.
Authorities said Wednesday in a news release that “the investigation revealed that while at Snyder’s residence in the 2400 block of Painted Cave Road, he injected the female with methamphetamine and sexually assaulted her.”
Snyder was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail and charged with allegedly providing drugs to a minor. He was also booked with an outstanding warrant from another case.
Snyder’s bail was set at $325,000, and additional charges from the Sheriff’s investigation have been sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
