Shouts of “Viva La Fiesta!” could be heard from all around.
The annual Fiesta children’s parade attracted thousands of people to Cabrillo Boulevard. The event marked the 94th children parade.
Flower girls and boys opened the parade, tossing flowers to the crowd.
Flamenco dancers danced their way up Cabrillo as Folklorico dancers swayed their colorful dresses to the crowd.
Junior Spirit of Fiesta, Penelope “Penny” Hernandez was the first of many flamenco dancers in the parade.
Spirit of Fiesta, Jenna Ramirez led Timo Nuñez Flamenco’s group with her elegant dance moves.
Santa Barbara High School and Carpinteria High School cheer teams were in the parade. Both teams had young cheerleaders who participated in the team’s summer cheer camp.
