The man killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday near Orcutt has been identified as Corona resident Timothy Greene.
Greene, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the offramp headed north from Highway 1 to Highway 135.
The California Highway Patrol and medical personnel responded to the crash between two motorcycles at 3:27 p.m. on Saturday, and pronounced Greene dead at the scene.
The man on the other motorcycle was identified as a 60-year-old resident of Huntington Beach. He was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic crash and the families impacted,” wrote Lt. R. Rodriguez of the California Highway Patrol in a statement. “The California Highway Patrol remains committed to conducting a thorough investigation to determine all of the circumstances surrounding this incident and to promoting safe driving behaviors that help prevent tragedies like this.”
The investigation remains ongoing, officials said, and asked the public to contact Officer N. Polley of the California Highway Patrol at 805-608-6310 with information regarding the crash.
