The Downtown Santa Barbara Improvement Association (DSBIA) invites the community to join the celebration as the ReStore officially opens its new Downtown Santa Barbara location with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 26, at 9:30 a.m. at 400 State Street.

Operated by Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County (Habitat Santa Barbara), the ReStore offers gently used furniture, home improvement materials, appliances, décor, and building supplies at a fraction of retail prices. Every purchase and donation helps support Habitat Santa Barbara’s mission of building and preserving affordable housing throughout Southern Santa Barbara County, giving shoppers an opportunity to make a positive impact while finding unique and affordable items for their homes.

“We know that our community has been waiting for the ReStore to come back,” said Jessica de L’Arbre, Habitat Santa Barbara CEO, “and we are thrilled to not only reopen, but to reopen in a beautiful space that will be in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara.”

“The Downtown Santa Barbara Improvement Association is excited to welcome the ReStore to the neighborhood,” said Robin Elander, Executive Director of the DSBIA. “The ReStore is a wonderful addition to downtown, offering a unique shopping experience while supporting affordable housing and creating opportunities to give back to the community. We’re thrilled to celebrate their grand opening and look forward to seeing them thrive.”

The community is encouraged to attend the celebration, tour the new space, meet the ReStore team, and enjoy a selection of complimentary beverages and custom ReStore cookies.
