The Theatre Group at SBCC is excited to present the next show in the 26-27 season, CLUE, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin, additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price, Directed by Amy Love, October 7-24, 2026 at the Garvin Theatre. Based on the Hasbro Board Game and the Paramount Pictures Motion Picture CLUE.

THE STORY
It’s a dark and stormy night and a group of strangers (emphasis on the strange) have been invited to a mysterious dinner party. Each of the guests has a secret, the butler has all the weapons, and the host is, well dead. So whodunit? You’ve played the board game, you’ve seen the cult classic film, now watch the action unfold live as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock and Mustard race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before he finds them. Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you laughing and guessing until the final curtain.
THE AUTHORS
SANDY RUSTIN (Playwright) is an actor and writer named one of the most produced playwrights in the country by American Theatre Magazine (’25-’26). Her adaptation of the film Clue has enjoyed over 5,000 productions worldwide (Clue/Cluedo) and is currently touring the U.S. and Australia. and Kaplan/Perrone.
HUNTER FOSTER (Playwright) is an Artistic Associate at Bucks County Playhouse, where he has directed Company, Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Buddy Holly Story, National Pastime, The Rocky Horror Show (2013, 2014 and 2016), Summer of ’42 and It’s a Wonderful Life.
ERIC PRICE (Playwright) has written the lyrics and book to the musicals The Violet Hour, Radioactive, Presto Change-o, Around the World, Hello Out There, The Sixth Borough, and additional material for the stage adaptation of the film Clue. His work has been produced at theaters in New York, around the country, and in Europe.
THE CAST
Clue will feature: Leesa Beck, Ian Ferguson, Emma Frickert, Tyler Gilbert, Tony J. Greco, Will Muse, Nicholis Sheley, CJ Smith, Leslie Ann Story, Tiffany Story, Raymond Wallenthin and Kamile Zaunius.
LEESA BECK (Mrs. White) is thrilled to be returning to the Garvin with such an amazing cast and production team! Favorite SB credits include Bella in Lost In Yonkers (Theatre Group at SBCC), Lorelei in Lies (Dramadogs), and Maggie in Red Herring (Circle Bar B Theater). Favorite LA credits include Portia in The Merchant of Venice (MET Theatre) and Natasha in Three Sisters (Vanguard Theatre). Leesa has also appeared in independent films, TV shows, commercials, and regularly sings in local music venues.
IAN FERGUSON (Motorist) is a student at SBCC studying theatre with interest in voice acting. Prior to attending City College, Ian’s most notable roles were as King Charlamagne in Pippin and Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast at Dos Pueblos High School. He has been in The Theatre Group at SBCC’s production of Treasure Island, assistant stage manager for Guys and Dolls, and sound operator for Emma and The Theatre Departments production of John Proctor Is The Villain.
EMMA FRICKERT (Cook/Singing Telegram Girl/Backup Cop) is a recent alumnus of UCSB where she graduated with her degrees in Sociology and Anthropology. Hailing from Orange County, CA, Emma has been an active theatre performer since the age of six. Her most recent performances were at Mt. San Antonio College, where she starred as Agnes in She Kills Monsters, and as Callie in Stop Kiss. Clue marks her debut with The Theatre Group at SBCC.
TYLER GILBERT (Colonel Mustard) returns to the Garvin after portraying the five Rivetti brothers in A Small Family Business in March. Among his other memorable roles were Dracula in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (Ojai Art Center), Rodya Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment, A Comedy, the Sheriff of Nottingham in Sherwood, and Nicely Nicely in Guys and Dolls (The Theatre Group at SBCC). Having grown up playing the board game with his family and always choosing to play as Colonel Mustard, Tyler is delighted to bring his childhood interpretation of the character to the stage in Clue.
TONY J. GRECO (Mr. Boddy) is a writer, artist, and actor currently performing with puppetry weekly at the Santa Barbara Zoo and working as an acting instructor with InterAct Theater School. While getting his degree in theatre arts, he’s performed as Rooster in Annie, Mr. Wormwood in Matilda, and Corny Collins in Hairspray. Clue marks his debut performance with The Theatre Group at SBCC.
WILL MUSE (Professor Plum) is a local actor and singer, who, since receiving a degree in Theatre from UCSB, has been heavily involved in the Santa Barbara theatre community. He frequently collaborates with Out of the Box Theatre Company, where he most recently portrayed Giuseppe Zangara in Assassins. Favorite past roles with The Theatre Group at SBCC includes Kyle The UPS Guy in Legally Blonde, Jonathan in The Play That Goes Wrong, and The Blind Hermitin Young Frankenstein.
CJ SMITH (Unexpected Cop/Backup Cop) is excited to be back with The Theatre Group at SBCC! This is his sixth show with The Theatre Group, and was previous seen in Something Rotten!, The Play That Goes Wrong, Guys & Dolls, Legally Blonde, and Young Frankenstein. He’s also been seen in Assassins, Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812, and Alice By Heart with Out of the Box Theatre Co. CJ is also a member of the Santa Barbara Gay Men’s Chorus. CJ is grateful to The Theatre Group at SBCC for the opportunity to perform and for their continued support.
NICHOLIS SHELEY (Mr. Green) most recently appeared with The Theatre Group at SBCC as Eric Sheridan in Unnecessary Farce. Other credits include Jonathan Harker in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors at Ojai Art Center Theater and Nick Bottom in Something Rotten! at SBCC. He is especially proud to have originated the role of Wally Webb in George and Emily Get Married. Nicholis trained at The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and is excited to return to the SBCC stage in Clue.
LESLIE ANN STORY (Mrs. Peacock) is as proud as a Peacock to return to the Garvin stage, where she has spent almost 50 years acting, mentoring and helping behind the scenes. She was last seen as Gran in LCT’s Blooming Cactus. Over the last few years, you may have seen her as Grandma Kurnitz in The Theatre Group at SBCC’s production of Lost in Yonkers, flying high as Abby Binder in Ripcord, in Blithe Spirit as Madame Arcati, or Martha Gillette in The Game’s Afoot. She’s also portrayed Miss Lynch in Grease, Sonia in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, as well as Abby Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace. She has been involved in over 100 local stage productions with various theatre companies, records radio shows, performs readers’ theater and lends her talents to television, radio commercials, independent films, PSAs and voiceovers.
TIFFANY STORY (Miss Scarlet) is a native Santa Barbarian and when she’s not rescuing animals she has performed in over 200 theatrical productions. She was last seen in Anything Goes last summer, as Frau Blũcher here in the amazing production of Young Frankenstein, and won both an Indy and Broadway World Award. Other favorites and Independent Award winners were for her performances in Sylvia, You Can’t Take it with You, The Laramie Project, Success, Anton in Show Business, The Last Liberal and 1940s Radio Hour. Another favorite was playing Lulu Peaks in The Outsider (thank you Katie Laris!). She has performed several times at The Ensemble Theater. She also was a regular at Circle Bar B dinner theater, where she performed her third favorite role as Theda in It Had to Be You for two rounds raising $5,000 for the animal shelter. She is an original member of the La Boheme dance group and has sung in several local bands.
RAYMOND WALLENTHIN (Wadsworth) was last seen in The Theatre Group at SBCC’s production of A Small Family Business and Jagged Little Pill with Out of the Box. Other Theatre Group at SBCC appearances: Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey, Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood, Murder on the Orient Express, Communicating Doors, Light up the Sky, Noises Off, Bus Stop, Rumors and Born Yesterday. The Alcazar Theater: Now and Then and No Body Like Jimmy. Circle Bar-B: Boeing Boeing, Regrets Only, The Butler Did it Singing and title role in Bullshot Crummond. Center Stage Bill W. and Dr. Bob. New York appearances: Murder in the Cathedral, Landscape of the Body, Sand Mountain, Othello and the NY Premier of Life Happens. Raymond studied with Terry Schrieber in NYC and graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
KAMILE ZAUNIUS (Yvette) is a student at SBCC, double majoring in Nutrition/Dietetic Science and Acting. This is her second show with The Theatre Group at SBCC, as she has previously performed in the ensemble for this summer’s musical, Anything Goes! You might also recognize her from any and all shows at SBHS from Fall ‘21 to Spring ‘25. Past credits include: The Crucible (Abigail Williams), Ride the Cyclone (Ocean O’Connell Rosenberg), A Chorus Line (Sheila Bryant), Dracula (Lucy Westenra), and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally Brown).
PRODUCTION STAFF
AMY LOVE (Director) received her MFA in directing for theatre in New York before turning to a career in film and television production in NY and LA. Returning to her first love, the stage, she co-founded Lights Up! Theatre Company in Santa Barbara, where she currently serves as Artistic Director. LA/Santa Barbara productions include: Lend Me a Tenor atStella Adler LA, Skylight for Ghostlight Theatre, First Night, Black Comedy, Twelfth Night, Big Fish, The Music Man, Matilda, The Tempest, Anything Goes, Something Rotten, The Addams Family, Into the Woods, The Man of La Mancha, and Little Shop of Horrors for Lights Up! Theatre Company and others.
ANDREW LAYTON (Scenic & Lighting Designer) has over 25 years of design, drafting, drawing, and modelmaking in the entertainment industry. He has worked as Assistant/Associate designer on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in Regional Theatres around the country, and spent four seasons as Scenic Design Supervisor at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Andrew has taught at MiraCosta College, Oakland University, UC-Santa Barbara, and was Resident Scenic Designer at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. A graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts (BFA), The University of Washington (MFA), Andrew is very happy to be a new faculty member at SBCC.
PAMELA SHAW (Costume Designer) is resident costume designer for The Theatre Group at SBCC, recently designing Anything Goes, Young Frankenstein, Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood, Lost in Yonkers, Legally Blonde, Guys and Dolls, Something Rotten!, Murder on the Orient Express, Sense & Sensibility and Significant Other among many other productions. Ms. Shaw was Costume Designer for the off-Broadway show Lonesome Traveler; the musical Bonnie & Clyde, the World Premiere musical The Dark of the Moon, the World Premiere musical Somebody to Love, Return to The Forbidden Planet and South Pacific at The Rubicon Theatre, The Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence, San Patricios and The Book of Will at PCPA and Assistant Costume Designer for TV sensation Vampire Diaries. She was the Assistant Costume Designer on the Best Picture and Best Costume Design Academy Award winning film, The Artist, with Mark Bridges, costume designer. Ms. Shaw is a member of the Costume Designers Guild Local 892, the2017-2029 Western Region Board Chair and Local Union Executive Board Trustee of United Scenic Artists, USA Local 829, IATSE.
BEN CROP (Sound Designer) is the full-time technical director and instructor of technical theatre at Santa Barbara City College. Sound design credits include Parents in Chains (Ensemble Theatre Company), Treasure Island, The Play that Goes Wrong, The Wolves, Laughing with Durang, Antigone, The Last Lifeboat, Communicating Doors, One Man, Two Guvnors, A Flea in Her Ear, Other Desert Cities, Proof, Hound of the Baskervilles, Ten Red Kings, Light Up The Sky, Bus Stop and Arsenic and Old Lace with The Theatre Group at SBCC, additional sound credits include Bill W. and Dr. Bob, The Ash Girl, and Confession in Wood. In addition to theatre, Ben has worked in the concert industry having been a light director and sound operator for such artists as Alice Cooper, Poison, Leanne Rimes, Wynona Judd, and Air Supply. Ben earned a BA in Theatre and Performance and his M.B.A in non-profit management from Willamette University.
EVA CLARK (Production Stage Manager) is thrilled to be working with the Theatre Group at SBCC in this capacity for the first time. Over the summer, she worked as an Assistant Stage Manager for their production of Anything Goes and directed Misreadings for the SBCC Theatre Department’s One-Act Festival last Fall. Some of her previous non-SBCC stage management credits include Assistant Stage Manager for the City of Buellton’s production of Annie, and many different Stage Management roles for local teen theatre group Lights Up! Theatre Company and their adult offshoot Ghostlight. Eva is currently attending SBCC as a Theatre Design & Production Major.
